The Den of Evilness, Tuesday Afternoon

Piper knew her prank was set in motion. She was a bit surprised the boys haven't called to flail at her yet. She thought about calling them to make sure they were okay, but then she remembered what they had done a few weeks ago and knew they needed to be taught a lesson.

Right now, she was sitting on the couch, contemplating a nap before she had to go to work.

Piper stared at the caller ID. This was not a phone number she recognized. "Hello?"

It took Prue a few moments to answer. This is the first time she's heard Piper's voice since she died.

"Um, hey Piper. This is Prue." she said. And feeling she should probably clarify she added, "Fandom Prue."

Piper blinked. She wasn't expecting to hear from Fandom Prue. "Oh, um, hi."

"I know this is weird but I heard some things from Chris and I couldn't not call because, hello, older sister and-" Prue took a deep breath. She always thought if she'd be asking anybody this it would be Phoebe. "Piper Halliwell, are you pregnant?!"

Piper flailed just a little. Even though this Prue wasn't hers, not to mention she was younger, she was still her big sister. Hearing her ask that particular question in that tone? Yeah, definite flailage going on. "Um...no?"

"Oh thank god." said Prue. She laughed a little out of relief. "I thought I was going to have to go to California and throw your boyfriend through a wall."

Piper let out a small eep sound. Knowing Prue, she was probably very serious about that. "No, you really don't have to do that. I was just messing with Chris and Wyatt."

"Messing with them? So you were in this with Phoebe?" she asked, using her 'I'm disappointed in you' big sister tone. In between the flailing this weekend she had initially thought Phoebe was trying to mess with Chris because of what he'd done to Anders.

The dreaded big sister disappointment tone. Piper sighed. "Don't be mad at Phoebe, okay? It was my idea."

It was actually Veronica's idea, but Piper kept that to herself.

"You really scared them, Piper. They think they aren't going to exist in the future." she said. "What did they do to deserve that?"

"I know I did. And they know the truth now though it's still being played out," Piper said. "I just wanted to teach them a lesson so they would stop meddling."

"Well, you did a good job of teaching a lesson. Even if you did give me heart attack in the process." said Prue. "What were they meddling in anyways?"

"I'm sorry about that. I didn't mean to cause any problems," Piper said sincerely. "They tried to break me and Lindsey up. I get that he isn't their dad, but they can't just decide who I should be with. That should be my decision, you know?"

Now Prue was all for Team Leo but her conscience wouldn't let her do anything but agree with Piper.

"You're right. It is most definitely your decision." she said. "You have kids with whoever you want. After at least six years of dating, a thorough background check and my approval first."

"Oh, I don't plan to have kids or get married or anything like that for a very long time," Piper assured.

She paused for a moment. "You're serious about a background check, aren't you?"

Prue pouted over the phone. "...it couldn't hurt."

Piper smiled. "Good to know some things don't change, no matter what timeline you're from."

"Yeah, Phoebe was saying the same thing." said Prue. She was in a much better mood now that she knew that Piper wasn't going to have some lawyer's kid. "I'm sorry again for calling like this. I was just kind of...okay, really freaked out."

Piper frowned. "Yeah, so sorry about that. I didn't think about what would happen if the boys talked to other people about it."

"I was sort of looking for an excuse to talk to you anyways." she said truthfully. "Just to hear for myself that you're doing alright."

That got Piper to smile again. "I'm glad you called. It doesn't matter which timeline you're from, I always have time to talk to you."

"I'll have to call more often then." she said, smiling. "And I'll kick your son's asses the next time they interfere with your love life."

"I wouldn't expect anything less from you," Piper said, giggling.
