The Den of Evilness, Tuesday Afternoon

Piper knew her prank was set in motion. She was a bit surprised the boys haven't called to flail at her yet. She thought about calling them to make sure they were okay, but then she remembered what they had done a few weeks ago and knew they needed to be taught a lesson.

Right now, she was sitting on the couch, contemplating a nap before she had to go to work.

"Phoebe said you're pregnant," Wyatt blurted out.

Piper gasped in shock. "She told you?! I'm gonna kill her!"

In actuality, she wanted to hug her sister for helping set this up.

"Please don't be mad at her," Chris begged. "She didn't do it on purpose."

"It's not true, is it?" Wyatt said, just a little desperation in his voice.

Piper smirked a little. "Well, it's not like it was planned or anything..."

"But you're not supposed to be pregnant yet!" Chris flailed.

"It can't be Lindsey's!" Wyatt said, flailing as well.

"Who else's would it be?" Piper asked, continuing to mess with them.

"Our father's!" Chris exclaimed. "Don't you want us?"

"We're not going to be born now!" Wyatt said. "This isn't how it's supposed to happen!" Some small part of his rational mind knew that Piper's world wasn't his world and things didn't have to be the same, but that part was, well, small.

"I...didn't mean for it to happen," Piper said, frowning slightly. She was starting to feel guilty.

She sighed, deciding they were freaked out enough. "I'm not pregnant," she finally confessed.

There was complete silence as the brothers looked at each other.

"You're not?" Chris repeated, unsure if he had heard correctly.

"The test was wrong?" Wyatt asked hopefully.

"There was never a test," Piper sighed. "I was just messing with you."

"... what?" Chris asked.

Wyatt stared at the phone. "Huh?"

"I was trying to get back at you for that little stunt you pulled a few weeks ago," Piper said. "And don't even pretend you don't know what I'm talking about."

Chris's jaw dropped. "Uh... how'd you find out that was us?" he asked lamely.

"We didn't . . . we, um, we . . . frak," Wyatt muttered.

"I'm sorry about what I did," Piper said sincerely. "But you two can't keep doing this. You can't decide who I should be with. I get to make those decisions."

"I'm sorry," Chris apologized immediately. "It's just... we want you to be happy."

"And we want to be born!" Wyatt said.

"I know you don't want to hear this, but I am happy. Lindsey makes me happy," Piper said quietly. She turned her attention to Wyatt's comment. "You might still be born, just not now. I'm only nineteen. I'm not ready to be a mom."

She looked down sadly. She didn't want to hurt them, but it was something they needed to hear.
