Piper had a lot on her mind. Mostly, she was still concerned about Phoebe and two papers that are due next week. She decided she needed a break from the stress, so she called Veronica.

"Ouch. Getting between you and chocolate is definitely an explodable offense."

"It really is," Piper agreed. "Anyone need tasering lately?"

"Surprisingly, no," Veronica laughed.

"Huh. That is surprising," Piper said. "Are you enjoying living on campus?"

"I am," Veronica said. "My roommate is cool and campus life is fun. How's it going living at home?"

"I'm glad to be home with my family after being away for so long," Piper said. "But sometimes I feel like I'm missing out on the whole college experience. I'm thinking about doing the dorm thing next semester."

"It's nice," Veronica said. "I don't think I could have moved back with my dad after living in the dorms at Fandom for a year."

"I can see how that would be weird. I just wanted to be with my family because they get the witch thing," Piper explained. "At least I don't have to hide it from them."

"Yeah, I get that. That's probably the thing I miss most about Fandom. How open and accepting everyone was about everything."

"Yeah, I miss that too. I can't really tell people about my experiences with zombies or turning into a demon," Piper said with a laugh.

"No one understands why I give the Jello in the cafeteria weird looks," Veronica confessed.

"I was so afraid of Fandom High's cafeteria that I don't even go into the one at Berkeley."

Veronica laughed. "I bet it's safer."

"Maybe someday I will dare to enter the cafeteria. Until then, I'll stick to the Student Union."

"At least that's something. Of course, you probably get home-cooked meals from your Grams, too."

"Yeah, and sometimes I help her with that," Piper said. "Which reminds me. You'll have to visit here again sometime."

"Definitely," Veronica agreed. "But now I should probably go."
