Lindsey's Apartment, Thursday

Lindsey was trying very hard to study. Really. But he'd read the same line in his textbook about 8 times now and it still wasn't sinking in. If only he had some sort of distraction. He could use a break, but he wasn't about to give up on the studying on his own. Something would have to come along to interrupt him or he'd just have to read this line another 8 times and hope that eventually it would make sense.

Piper figured, since she was going to be in the area visiting Veronica, she should probably visit Lindsey, too. So she placed a call to see if he would be around this weekend.

Lindsey gave his cellphone a very grateful look, and then grinned widely when he checked the caller ID.

"You've saved me from studying. Have I mentioned I love you?"

"Maybe I should vanquish studying then," Piper said with a grin.

"Not like I didn't love you before," Lindsey clarified. "But I love you extra right now. You wanna vanquish my textbooks, I may shout my love from the rooftops."

"How about I do that sometime this weekend?" Piper asked. "I'm gonna be in the LA area."

"You are?" Yes, that was pure glee in Lindsey's voice. "What's the occasion? And I bet there are better things to do in the LA area than blowing up my homework."

"I'll be in Neptune tomorrow to visit Veronica," Piper explained. "I really want to see you, too. I miss you."

"Miss you too. How long do I get to keep you for?"

"A few days maybe?" Piper said. "I might check out the USC campus on Saturday. I can stop by after."

"Sounds good to me. I'll be here. Waiting. Anything you wanna do while you're here?" Lindsey paused. "I mean, anything that involves leaving the apartment?"

Piper grinned. "We don't have to leave the apartment..."

"'Course not. But I thought maybe you'd like to actually see some of LA. Maybe."

"Maybe. Guess we'll see when I get there," Piper said.
