Piper and Veronica's Apartment, Thursday

Piper was still slightly mopey, but she was determined not to be today. It's her birthday, and she wasn't going to think about demons or the paper that's due next week. Besides, Veronica baked her a cake. It was a pretty good day so far.

Cally, unlike a certain silly SO of a certain sleuthing college girl, totally knows about the time difference. So she waited until about noon her time to call Piper.

So it was about nine when the phone rang.

Piper reached for her cell phone and smiled when she recognized the number. "Hey Cally."

"Caller ID, huh?" Cally said. Her voice was a little muffled, cause her jaw was, you know, still wired shut. "Happy birthday."

"Yeah, it's very handy," Piper replied. Then she smiled. "Thanks."

"How are you feeling?" she continued.

"'m looking much better," Cally said. "Other than the jaw, everything's okay."

Wyatt rather nervously called later in the day. He knew when his mother's birthday was, after all.

"Hello?" Piper greeted when she answered the phone.

"Uh, hi...Mom?" Wyatt said. "It's Wyatt."

"Wyatt, hi," Piper said a bit awkwardly. "Um, how are you?"

"I'm okay," he said. "I just wanted to call...and say happy birthday."

Chris debated for a while about whether or not to call Piper, In the end, he decided he'd feel guilty if he didn't, even though the whole thing kind of weirded him out.

Piper was getting used to her phone ringing today. "Hello?"

"Hey, it's Chris," he said, taking a deep breath.

Piper smiled. "Hi, Chris. I had a feeling you might call."

"Well, it would be wrong of me to forget your birthday," Chris replied. "Happy Birthday."

He still couldn't quite bring himself to call her mom.

Chloe was oh so very glad that she had a new PDA that dinged at her when she had important dates to remember.

Piper smiled when the phone rang again. She was popular today. "Hello?"

"Why hello there, birthday lady," Chloe chirped.

"Chloe! It's been so long," Piper said. "How've you been?"

"I've been good. Better than I thought I'd be, at least. How are you?" she asked.

Of course Lindsey called. He just waited until the evening when he knew he'd have time to talk.

Piper reached for her phone. Again. She smiled when she glanced at the caller ID. "Hey Lindsey."

At this point Lindsey felt it necessary to sing "Happy Birthday." Like you do.

"That mean I can return what I bought?" Lindsey teased. "How's the day so far birthday girl?"
