Subject: Happy News!
Dear, Friends, Family and people I barely write to but really should,
Angela and I have some news that we can't wait to share anymore. As some of you might know Angela is expecting a child due on Halloween of this year. 1998. Or 2008 if you people can get over the whole time difference thing.
We're both very excited about the whole oh-my-god-we're-going-to-be-parents thing and can't wait for the 2 am feedings, dirty diapers, sleepless nights, (No! Really! We are!) and can't wait to shove baby pictures at you the first chance we get.
Also: We are in dire need of baby names so any suggestions will be considered and then probably rejected. Angela already rejected "Barista" so I'm at a complete loss for another name.
Hope everyone is well and good and feel free to drop us a line any time because we'd love to hear how you are doing.
Love,
Angela & Marty

I already said it, but still congratulations. And if you guys need a babysitter...
There's only one name you need to remember: Cameron.
Or maybe Emily for a girl?

So are you sharing or is it a surprise?
I'm good. Bought a car, a Ford Mustang 1965 Fastback. I'm thinking road trip once it's actually driving. I got a job selling outdoor gear. Nothing fancy, but it pays for the car.
How's New York? And the whole pregnancy thing? Not too sick, I hope?

It was Avery. Though now Anakin is trying to sell Marty on Annie and I think he's going for it.
My dad would kill for that car. Maybe not kill, but he'd drool over it a lot and whimper? And road trips are awesome.
Everyone tells me I'm past the worst part of being sick. now I just get to watch myself get fat. FUN. At least I get a baby at the end?

Believe me, I won't forget. I just hope the portal gets you here on time. (Though things are still good and I don't need anything now, thank God. Except maybe extra sour pickles, which I can get if I stop typing and walk two blocks east.)
How's L.A.?

He's supposed to. It might help if I whine at him again.
Yay Peters, especially yours. (Not that I have some weird issue with Pevensie or that other one, just I bet they aren't in L.A. with you.)
On the dye, I am very happy I live in New York. I found a salon that does this henna treatment that's supposed to be okay. Not as shiny-shiny as crimson glow, but I was blond for about five minutes last winter and got sick of it again. And wow, that was a longer answer then you needed, huh?

If I may suggest the following names...
Benjamin, Richard, Mets, Diego, Suit, or Jane. All are good for a boy or a girl.

Congratulations! I'm sure Rory will have better ideas. Almost everyone I knew (who aren't annoying students) had names with hyphens, accents over vowels, or both. Why do you think my kids are Luke and Leia? Qui-Gon is just asking to get your ass kicked.
That said, Anakin is always nice...or maybe Mace? Not like the baby's gonna have a lot of hair to start with...

Well I'm not saying your name isn't masculine. Just that Annie seems to go more with a girl. Is Annie a boy's name wherever you are from? Oh those wacky interplanetary social differences.

It was a childhood nickname, yes. Coming from a galaxy full of Obi-Wans, Wedges and Jolees, I suppose it makes sense that it would be a girl's name here.
And if I never hear 'The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow', it'll be too soon.

Anakin -
Thanks! I'm surprised Rory didn't tell you -- I mentioned it before the wedding so she'd know I hadn't just been going a little heavy on the Krispy Kremes. I guess you had other things to think about. (How was the honeymoon?)
Anyhow, yes, Luke and Leia are very nice compared to Qui-Gon or Obi-Wan. I'm sure they're grateful. Mace? Hmmmm.

Not that I'm opposed to snack food in general. Graham is on the list which always makes me think of cracker.

YES! Now I can talk to people about this and glee about the possibilities without worrying that I'm going to be spilling it to someone who didn't know! Congrats again to both of you.
As for names-- Hmm. What the hell goes with Chase-Blank? Or Blank-Chase?
I would suggest Armani, because that always works, boy or girl. But too many people might not appreciate that that it's supposed to be ironic.
Enclosed find one small bear (http://us.st12.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/vtbear_2009_25751511) to guard the cradle. Let me know about baby showers as it gets closer to Halloween.
Ooo. Haley Joel? Or Haley Joelle?

Seriously, thank you for sitting on this for a while. We meant to tell people sooner, just it got away from us with moving and everything. (Yes, I finally moved in with Marty at the end of my school year.)
That bear is badass.
Why Hayley? It's pretty.

You're welcome. I'm just glad Zero and I can now plan to buy the kid a teal deer when it's old enough to take care of one. (Kidding. I swear. That kitten I sent Bronwyn on her last visit to Fandom was not a precedent. Xander & Bridge had that coming.)
Yay for Marty moving in, that's got to make things easier. And since I and various other overprotective types can't be there, the bear has to take our place.
There's an actor in some Halloween-ish movie here, named Hayley-- no one would get the joke in 1998, though. Or one dimension over. Still, pretty for a girl. Just (and I say this as someone with name issues) be sure it's something the kid can at least get a decent nickname out of. "Hay" may not work in that respect.
This is going to be fun! (For me. But in the long run, probably more for you.)

Okay, okay, okay! Well... first off, other people might have a problem with Friday the 13th, but as of two weeks ago it's pretty much become one of my favorite days *ever*. Because Xander asked me to marry him! With a ring and everything. He got a chain for it, though, so I can wear it around my neck, because the gloves sort of make it hard to wear it the more traditional way.

Awww, thanks. I'm blushing like the dork I am, right now, but you can't see it because, well. Email.
I've attached a picture of the ring. If you're wondering why a flower... I don't know if you remember that first weekend everyone turned small? And the "weddings" in the dorm lobby? That's the ring Isabel lent us then. Only, you know... grownup and guy-sized now.
