Without a current client, Logan was stuck manning the desk again at Angel Investigations. He was seriously bored. He'd already gone through the usual porn sites and the Dr. Terrible site was down again, so he couldn't watch the new webisode.

He considered the pros and cons of making a website for Angel Investigations and waited to see if the phone would ring so he could do something interesting.

When Veronica got home from work in the evening, she sat down with some Chinese takeout and dialed the number for Angel Investigations, figuring that with the time difference, she should be able to catch Logan at the front desk.

"Angel Investigations," Logan snatched up the phone on the first ring.

"Either you're really bored or you're expecting a call from a phone sex operator," Veronica joked.

"Oh, it's you," Logan said, disappointed. "Yeah, thing are slow right now."

"Oh it's me?" Veronica repeated. "Fine, I see how you are."

"I was just hoping you'd be someone interesting." Pause. "I mean, like a case."

"Nice save, Echolls. Sorry, no case. Though I do have something interesting to discuss."

"Spit it out, Mars," Logan said.

"Isabel called me this morning," Veronica said. "She's planning the wedding, as you probably know. And the consensus seems to be that our Neptune would be the best place for it."

Logan facepalmed. "You guys been talking to Parker?"

"I haven't, but I'm assuming Isabel has," Veronica said. "She was hoping we could do it at your house. Sometime in mid-August. What's your schedule look like?"

Dammit, had Parker told everyone that he and Angel were getting married? "Let me check my calendar," he said. "How's the fifth of never for you."

That wasn't the reaction Veronica had been expecting. "O-kay then. Are you really that opposed to it being held at your house? I mean, I'll be back in Neptune and can handle all the pre-wedding stuff so you don't have to leave LA too soon."

"I'm opposed to it happening anywhere," Logan said. "Just because it's suddenly legal doesn't mean that two guys who are perfectly happy have to go and ruin it with a wedding." He realized what he'd said. "Well, not perfectly happy. But happy enough."

"And why do you care if they want to?" Veronica demanded. "That's an awfully shitty attitude. Just because you're afraid to commit doesn't mean it's wrong for other people."

"I'm not afraid to commit!" Logan protested. "There is such a thing as moving too fast, you know!" Her last sentence finally caught up with him. "'Other people'? Who are we talking about?"

"You so totally are! We had a relationship, remember? You can't bullshit me."

Wait a sec.

"Who do you think we're talking about?"

"Ever think I might be afraid of committing to you?" Logan demanded. "And I thought we were talking about me and Angel. Who do you think we're talking about?"

"It's not my fault if I'm too much woman for you to handle," Veronica retorted. "And I was talking about Xander and Bridge. Who are engaged. And have asked Isabel to plan their wedding."

"Seriously? Xander and Bridge? That's awesome!"

"Yeah, it is," Veronica agreed. "But how come this is the first I'm hearing about you and Angel?"

"Because we're not getting married! That was totally a figment of Parker's imagination," Logan said.

"Oh, well that makes sense then," Veronica said. "I better be at the top of the list for that announcement."

"If it ever happens, I'll get one of the flying pigs to take you a note."

Veronica smirked. "And I better be the maid of honor... best woman... whatever."

"Dude. Angel and I are Not. Getting. Married. Can we just talk about Xander and Bridge? You wanna use my place for it?"

Oh, like Veronica was ever going to let this go?

"Yeah, Isabel was thinking it would be nice, you know, minus the food fight."

"I think drunken brawls are more traditional for weddings," Logan said.

"Fair point," Veronica said. "But I think that Isabel will kick anyone's ass if they mess up the wedding."

"As long as she's on top of things," Logan said. "Yeah, you can use my place. I'll let the caretaker know you'll be coming by to plan stuff."

"Awesome," Veronica said. "Do you have a specific date that works best for you?"

"Nah, no one's using the place. It's available whenever," Logan said.

"Well, Isabel said mid-August," Veronica said. "So maybe sometime the 15th through the 17th?"

"Works for me," Logan said.
