Meg was still sort of bummed that her parents hadn't let her live in the dorms but living on your own did have it's advantages. For one, she could sleep in until noon without anybody waking her up. And two, she could spend the evening snuggled down on the couch with a pint of ice cream, watching Top Model re-runs.
Yeah, Meg wasn't really taking advantage of the Stanford night life. She didn't really have a problem with that. There was homework to be done. She had her laptop out and everything. She'd get to it eventually. You know, after she was through with the TV watching.

Re: School?
Hey! How're things at Stanford? I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to say goodbye. Do you have a new e-mail address?
Nothing new here--just eating sardines and learning my Greek.

Re: School?
Hey! Yep, got a shiny new Stanford e-mail address *points up* I feel like it's more grown up than the Fandom one :P Stanford's cool, full of fellow geeks like me. I'm waist-deep in homework but somehow I'm finding Top Model to be more important. You really need to come stay with me one weekend! It's only an hour away and I have my own place *entices*
Sardines, really? I think I'll stick with my pint of Ben and Jerry's, thanks.

Re: School?
Ooooh, that is shiny, and makes you look much more mature. ;) Of course Top Model is more important. I can't believe that was even a question!
I'm so enticed, you have no idea. Also, now I want ice cream.
It's a memorial kind of thing. Plus, I kind of like having people look at me funny--it's been a while since I had that, you know?

Re: School?
Yeah, I get it. The Fandom population is kind of immune to weird. I like scaring normal people too. My mom looked at me like I was crazy when I was putting salt lines by all the windows of my place. I was afraid if I tried to explain it to her she'd have me committed.

You put salt around your windows? I'm so proud.
*sniff*
Maybe you're just trying to attract deer?

Better safe than sorry! I've been wanting to Christo half of my professors. Some of them are clearly evil.

You have one of those too? What are you taking, anyway?

Re: School?
Ugh. I'm taking all of those "You're a freshman!" perquisite classes that are really boring but you have to get them done with. I'm convinced my English 101 teacher is Satan. I can't wait till I get to start my business and pre-law classes.
...Wow, I'm a dork.
What about you? Taking anything interesting?

Hey Meg!
How's life at Stanford? Things here are going well, although the course load is a lot heavier then in Fandom. I miss those lazy afternoons.
Vegas is hot as hell. But pretty cool. I've gone out a few times to walk and gawk along the strip. Yes, it makes me look like a tourist but it's great free entertainment.
Hope all's good with you.

Hey!
Stanford's great. I didn't realize how much I missed California. Well, the scenery, not the people. I can deal without the people. School's tough but I kind of expected that. The heavy workload isn't stopping me from slacking off and catching up on Top Model. I'm rooting for the dude all the way.
I so need to visit you in Vegas! I can be the tourist and you can be the seasoned city gal who can show me around :D

I saw that on Wednesday. I've got ten bucks that says he makes the top three. But I don't know that he'll win. It'd be cool though.
I might need a little more time before I can be considered seasoned. But there's lots of fun to be hand in playing tourist together. Especially if you have ID. Not that I'd ever do anything like fake my ID to go dancing.

Of course you wouldn't do that. That would be wrong. Good girls don't do things like that.
We'll just ignore the fact that we've done it before.

There are no pictures. So there's no proof. It never happened. ;-) Except for the part where I distinctly remember leaning over the pool table and giving my boyfriend a good view of my cleavage to distract him.
How's living on your own? My roommate's nice enough but sharing a small space sucks. I got spoiled in Fandom. Fortunately she's an architecture student, so she spends huge amounts of time in studio. I don't know how she does it.

I have to admit, there is something great about having a whole apartment to yourself. I get to watch TV as loud as I want, whenever I want and I can listen to bad pop music without getting embarrassed. I do kind of regret missing out on the dorm thing...
...But then I remember I have my own bathroom. That makes those feelings of regret go far, far away.

And you can have a guy visit without worrying about who's going to walk in.

I think I kind of hate you right now.

Mwahahaha!
Oh! Speaking of reasons why you should hate me...
Remember what you told me do with Dean and Alec that time when you and I went out drinking?
Well, I did it. And I am sooooooooo glad I did.
