Veronica had spent a very productive afternoon, if you can call buying a dress and shoes for Homecoming productive.

Now she was in her room and she realized she needed to arrange transportation for next weekend.

"Okay," Veronica replied, still wary. "So I didn't actually call to tell you my deep, dark secrets."

"You want a ride to Homecoming?" Bel guessed.

Veronica smiled. "Give the boy a prize."

Bel sighed dramatically. "Is that all I am to you?"

"What else do you want to be?"

"Depends on how you're willing to pay me."

"Remember my prior definition of stupid?" Veronica asked. "My methods of payment also fall under those same categories."

"So, no on a hot fudge Veronica sundae of my own then?"

"That would definitely result in both bodily harm - yours - and Phoebe hexing me, so no," Veronica told him.

Bel could probably hear Veronica facepalming through the phone.

"So when do you want me to come by?" he asked.

"Friday around lunch time?" she asked. "Which will be a little earlier for me."

"Sure, that works," Bel said. "Am I taking you right to Chez Cameron or someplace else?"

"I have a room at the hotel," Veronica said. "I'll probably head over there to check in before anything else."

"So you want me to shimmer you to a hotel room," Bel said, grinning into the phone. "Gotcha."

"Yes, Bel, I want you to shimmer me to a hotel room so I can have my wicked way with you," she deadpanned.

"I thought so," Bel smirked. "All right, I'll pick you up Friday then. Wear something sexy."

Veronica shook her head. "Is Phoebe back yet?" she asked. "Piper called me the other day and told me what happened."

Bel tensed. "Not yet," he said. "Monday, maybe."

"How are you holding up?"

"Okay," he said gruffly.

"I know it must be hard for you to not be with her right now," Veronica said.
